Marketing Through Storytelling

Shot for Squarespace

Story by Wesley Verhoeve December 11th, 2015

I worked with my friends over at Squarespace on a campaign to promote their great Cover Page feature, which was created especially for people who need a minimalist one page website, but still need that single page to present their work in a professional and beautiful way. For some, it might serve as a temporary landing page until their full site is ready, while for others it might serve as the perfect minimalist approach to a full site.

I worked directly with Squarespace’s fantastic creative team to create images for seven example templates, and the various shoots took place over the course of a week, all over NYC. We visited a friend’s bespoke shirt shop, photographed another friend’s beautiful floral arrangement, then found our way to Dumbo to photograph a real life co-ed soccer team, then worked with my woodworking friend and studio mate Mac Premo in Boerum Hill, and eventually hopped over to SoHo to stage a fashionable ladies podcast moment. Below are some of these images as they’d be used in the wild, and for more check out Squarespace’s Cover Page section.

If you are a creative company in need of narrative photography and help in telling the story of your product, customers, or employees: give me a shout at hello@wesleyverhoeve.com.
